Living in my home I was not able to prepare meals for myself and my health was not what it could be. Since moving to Clair Hills Retirement Community I am eating fresh and healthy meals 3 times a day, I am involved in all activities and outings that are planned for us. Even my kid’s comment on how much better I am doing now! The dedicated staff greets me each day and help with any assistance I need, which brings great comfort to me. Fellow residents are easy to talk with and are pleasure to spend my day with.

Overall, I could have not picked a better place than Clair Hills Retirement Community!

To the staff of Clair Hills Retirement Community, We would like to say thank you to everyone for making our stay so pleasant. Everything to the smallest detail was taken care of and we appreciated the warm, friendly and caring style extended to us at Clair Hills.

I spent over 5 weeks in Respite Care at Clair Hills convalescing following cardiac surgery this summer. It was perfect for me. My accommodation was very gracious with a sitting room, bedroom and a spacious bathroom with easy access for a wheelchair. I became friendly with all the assisted living folk that I shared that area of the 2nd floor with, and mealtimes. I was free to go down to the main dining room if I chose which was seldom but a good option when family came to join me for a meal. The care was faultless. I had the help I needed, and guidance that was helpful. I returned to hospital for 4 days amidst and when I was discharged, I felt very much at home going back to Clair Hills. The cheerful staff who are extremely competent are comfortable in their jobs. The nursing care is excellent and the facilities at Clair Hills are ideal. My grandson had a grand visit swimming in the salt water pool. The folk I met, some familiar to me, most not, were all friendly, welcoming and clearly extremely comfortable living at Clair Hills.

I have a great deal of admiration for the whole team that makes Clair Hills such a viable alternative to staying in one's own home.

My father had a great convalescent stay with Clair Hills, I also joined them for supper and the food was very nice. Thank you.

My mother came to Clair Hills after falling and breaking her hip.This injury resulted in her going from a very active lifestyle to one in which she became somewhat dependent upon others. The good care she received from staff at Clair Hills resulted in a far better recovery than was anticipated. Staff are courteous and frequently go the extra mile with their service. The social programming at the home is excellent and my mother had the opportunity to make some new friends

I have so many great things to say about Clair Hills.

First and foremost, you and your staff consistently treat all the residents like adults, and with great respect. Clair Hills is always clean, beautifully decorated, welcoming, and it smells wonderful. We always tease Mum that she is living on a gorgeous cruise ship.
The excellent services that you provide such as the spa and the hair stylist are perfect. My mum loves the theme evenings and the entertainment. She also enjoys drinks with her friends on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Special mention goes to Shelley Boate who wears so many different hats at Clair Hills. She is kind, patient and you can tell that she loves her job.

When Mum came to Clair Hill in Dec. 2012 she was going through the worst experience of her life - the loss of her beloved husband. To say that she was a shell of herself is not exaggeration. The care, kindness and attention that she received at Clair Hills helped her cope through this very sad time and when Dad died, the staff and residents helped to give her the support she needed to carry on with living.

I have been a resident at Clair Hills retirement Community for almost a year and would like to share that I am so very pleased that I made the decision to make the move.

I thought that I was years away from making this move, but my children encouraged me to make the most of my retirement years. I am living the way I want; an independent lifestyle, but am leaving the cooking and cleaning to someone else. I now spend more of my time socializing with friends and family and am more involved in the K-W community.

Since I've moved here, I've made even more friends, enjoyed wonderful meals and have kept active through the variety of activities and events offered. I've got the freedom to spend time doing what I enjoy with the independence I desire.

Needless to say, i would highly recommend this lifestyle.

Clair Hills on Columbia is an inviting, safe, supportive and inclusive environment for our Mom. Since moving in her outlook on life has improved dramatically. She is much happier, more at ease and has put on weight. Clair Hills on Columbia staff are consistently kind, professional, friendly and engaging. There is ample opportunity for socialization with a variety of programs allowing for and promoting each residents individual sense of self worth. Good food, great environment and fun times! This has allowed us (her children) to feel at ease knowing that she is happy due to the quality care and service provided at Clair Hills.

Thank you to all your wonderful people at Clair Hills. We felt warmly and genuinely welcome to your lovely home. Our accommodation was beautifully appointed and the welcome basket was most appropriate. The salt water pool was so inviting as well. I would not hesitate to recommend your facility to anyone looking for a retirement home. The entertainment (Tim Louis), toonie Tuesday at the bar, and the Cordon Blue dinner was the icing on the cake.

First rate care! Warm friendly staff, good food, clean rooms. You could not find a better place.

After residing at Clair Hills for the past eight months, it is my pleasure to compose this testimonial.
First, the facility and accommodations are absolutely first class. Access to exercise, computers, a large library, and theatre are all available. My personal "highlight" is the indoor, heated salt water pool which I frequented four or five times a week.
Secondly, the staff are highly trained and caring individuals, always prepared and able to assist you in any way. The competence and training are obvious to observe.
Thirdly, the dining room and meal selections are superb. Well organized and polite wait staff ensure a meal prepared to your individual specifications in a very attractive dining area.
Additionally, the social activities are many and varied, suited to the needs of the residents. Bus trips and shuttle service are readily available, even a visit from "Elvis".
Finally, the location is very convenient to many services, including shopping and the Boardwalk, a comprehensive, new medical centre and movie theatre. Nature walkways abound and the subdivision areas are attractive to stroll through. Additionally you can travel to any area in the Kitchener-Waterloo with ease.
Overall I can highly recommend this residence to any senior seeking a safe, secure and active lifestyle.
